Final days to nominate for Young Achiever of the Year Award

Final days to nominate for Young Achiever of the Year Award

Joseph Burton was the last young achiever to take out the award back in 2019.

Sport Albury Wodonga is putting the last call out for people to put forward young achievers, with nominations closing this Sunday.

The award recognises people aged between 16 to 21 who have had sporting achievements until December 31, 2021.

Nominees can include athletes, referees, umpires or administrators.

“We understand Covid has made it difficult for sport to hold their various events the past couple of years and allow athletes to compete, but we are hoping there are some high achievers in our community and we want to continue to recognise those athletes in our local area,” SAW president Rob McDonald said.

The award night will be held Friday, March 4 at Albury’s Commercial Club, with up to 12 finalists selected to attend.

Nominations can be submitted via the website www.sportalburywodonga.com.au or by email to [email protected] for more information.
